One of the things I wanted to concentrate on this year is improving my photography. I am taking part in Emma Davies “A Year with My Camera” project for which we had to decide on a collection.
I have chosen to collect “Reflections and Silhouettes” throughout the year.
Along with our collections, Emma is covering a topic each week – so far we have practised exposure and aperture.
As a more intermediate photographer I know the basics, and then some, but it’s been good to force myself to practise them again, it knocks laziness and bad habits on the head! Emma accounts for the fact that we are all at different levels. This week’s assignment on aperture focused on depth of field, but also for the more advanced of us there was a chance to practice nailing our bokeh and learning about hyperfocal length (not so sure I get that to be honest, but there’s time!)
