In writing my last blog post of 2016, I feel a sense of hope. This comes as a surprise given the series of unfortunate events populating the latter half of this year. (Although ‘Surprising’ was my word of the year so it is quite fitting.) From the embers of 2016, then, may the team and I wish you all hope for the days to come in 2017. Peace out. Ed

Wow! I’m writing this on the last day of 2016. And I know the preceding 364 days must have happened because, well, we’re here on the last day of the year. It’s still a little astounding, though, don’t you think?

Granted, my astonishment could be my preoccupation this year of how time is seeming to move much faster. This in direct opposition to my view when younger when time couldn’t move fast enough. I recall wanting to hasten time from the first milestone birthday to leaving home as a ‘grown-up.’ And that has always been my problem, if problem it is, to always be looking to the next thing, the next challenge.

Although that changed a little in the dwindling embers of 2016.
